报告题目：Associations between smoking and accelerated brain ageing

摘要：Using structural magnetic resonance imaging data from the UK Biobank (n = 33293), a brain age predictor was trained using a machine learning technique in the non-smoker group (n = 14667) and then tested in the smoker group (n = 18626) to determine the relationships between BrainAge Gap and smoking parameters. Further, we examined whether smoking was associated with poorer cognition and whether this relationship was mediated by brain age. The study provides insight into the association between smoking, brain ageing, and cognition, which provide more publicly acceptable propaganda against smoking.
主讲人简介：
郭水霞，湖南师范大学数学与统计学院副院长，博士生导师，湖南省芙蓉学者特聘教授、“统计学”国家一流本科专业负责人、“应用统计与数据科学”湖南省高校重点实验室负责人、湖南省杰出青年基金获得者。入选“足球比分网新世纪优秀人才培养计划”、湖南省“新世纪121工程人员”。主要研究方向为医学影像大数据的分析与应用，基于医学影像数据的精神疾病预测研究。主持国家自然科学基金4项，发表SCI论文30余篇，单篇论文最高引用200余次。
